Micro Filer is an ICAEW-regulated chartered accountants firm specialising in annual accounts, corporation tax, confirmation statements, and tax returns for micro companies. The firm is run by ICAEW Chartered Accountants with more than 20 years of experience in practice. Alongside the core micro-company work, the firm also files for dormant limited companies, small limited companies, sole traders, and individual landlords. Every service runs on a fixed annual or monthly fee, with all prices published openly on the website.
Micro Filer is built exclusively for UK micro-entity limited companies, businesses that meet at least two of the following criteria in a financial year:
This segment has specific filing requirements under FRS 105, and that's exactly where we focus.
FRS 105 makes the work predictable in shape, which means consistent pricing, fast turnaround, and reliable quality across every client. Over time, we've built deep familiarity with the scenarios that come up year after year: first-year accounts, dormant-to-active transitions, single-director salary and dividend structures.
Most of our clients are directors running their own business without an in-house finance function. We handle the filing end-to-end, directly with HMRC and Companies House, and only surface the decisions that actually need their input.
MicroFiler is registered with the ICAEW as a regulated chartered accountants firm under firm number C008709968. ICAEW registration includes supervision for Anti-Money Laundering purposes under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017, which means every client engagement follows a formal AML verification process before work begins.
The firm is registered with HMRC as an authorised tax agent for corporation tax, Self Assessment, and MTD for Income Tax. This permits direct submission of returns to HMRC and handling of HMRC correspondence on behalf of clients.
The firm is registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under reference A8784539 for the processing of personal data in compliance with UK GDPR.
Four client groups make up most of the firm’s work.
Active limited companies that meet at least two of the Companies Act micro-entity criteria: turnover up to £1,000,000, balance sheet up to £500,000, or 10 or fewer employees. The firm files statutory accounts under FRS 105, the CT600 corporation tax return, and the annual confirmation statement.
Limited companies that need to remain on the Companies House register without active trading. The firm files dormant accounts (form AA02), the corporation tax return where required, and the annual confirmation statement.
Active limited companies that meet at least two of the small company criteria: turnover up to £15,000,000, balance sheet up to £7,500,000, or 50 or fewer employees. The firm files statutory accounts under FRS 102 Section 1A, the CT600 corporation tax return, and the annual confirmation statement.
Self-employed sole traders and individual UK landlords filing Self Assessment returns or, from April 2026 onward, MTD for Income Tax quarterly updates and final declarations. Common income types covered include trading profit, rental income from one or multiple properties, dividends, savings interest, and capital gains.
